One of the most overlooked aspects of watercooling is the preparation of a loop. It may not be a glamorous part of watercooling, but it's arguably one of the most important. Before jumping into a coolant here's a rundown of all of the preps and their intended uses.

sysPrep

PrimoChill's Sysprep has been the flagship of preps and was created to address the concerns of having a clean and well maintained cooling system. SysPrep is meant to flush your loop and its components of any debris left by the manufacturing processes of your reservoir, block, pump, or radiator, leaving your water cooling loop clean, clear, pristine, and ready for any type of coolant. Primochill Sys Prep™ takes the confusion out of what may be causing the filth in your system and lets your rest at ease that you've created a clean environment for your fluid.

LIQUID UTOPIA

Liquid Utopia offers a full line of protection against algae and corrosion when added to a new or existing cooling loop. The proprietary blend of ingredients used are specially formulated to provide a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent capable of eliminating and maintaining the microbiological growth found in closed loop water cooling systems. Liquid Utopia has also been formulated to protect ferrous and non-ferrous metals from corrosion, which is especially important in today’s higher performance mixed metals water cooling systems. It is safe, non toxic, and biodegradable, and is the only single use additive available in today’s market that provides a broad spectrum of coverage and has the ability to be dyed to your color choice by adding PrimoChill Intensifier™ dyes (sold separately).

System REBOOT

System Reboot was created to address the need to prepare/clean existing cooling loops AND be able to clean out old dyes that may have leached onto components during previous usage. Similar to Sysprep this flush style solution will cleanse out any debris/residue leaving your water cooling loop clean, clear, pristine and ready for any type of coolant. The beauty of ReBoot is it's ability to pull color from stained components.

Features

  • Water Based
  • Environmentally Responsible, Safe, and Non Toxic Product
  • Pre-Mixed. Just Add to a Gallon of Water
  • Safe on All Plastics, Rubbers, and Miscellaneous Gasket Materials, Including Acrylic.

Method One

  1. Install your cooling loop and double-check connections to ensure loop is “closed”. No Leaks!

  2. Empty bottle of ReBoot into 1 US Gallon of fresh DI or Distilled water, and shake for 30 seconds

  3. Add mix to cooling loop.

  4. Fill loop with treated solution and be sure to remove as many air bubbles as possible.

  5. Start loop pump and begin circulating the treated solution.

  6. Run treated solution for at least 24 to 48 hours to ensure loop is properly flushed and treated.  While using for longer periods of time doesn't have negative effects, ReBoot is not an effective final coolant and should be replaced with coolant before any extended use of computer.

  7. Drain System. Inspect drained solution for debris or foreign particles. Dispose of drained solution. Repeat flush if needed.

  8. Fill system with fresh DI or distilled water and flush thoroughly to remove ReBoot solution checking for foam.

  9. Drain system.*.

  10. Fill loop with your choice of coolant and begin water-cooling.

  11. * Reboot needs to be flushed from the system until no foam is seen and water runs clear

Method Two

  1. Install your cooling loop and double-check connections to ensure loop is “closed”. No Leaks!

  2. Fill entire loop with DI or distilled water. (leave room for System Reboot)

  3. Add Full bottle of the system ReBoot Pre-Treatment.

  4. Top off with DI or distilled water if needed.

  5. Start loop pump and begin circulating the treated solution.

  6. Run treated solution for at least 24 to 48 hours to ensure loop is properly flushed and treated.  While using for longer periods of time doesn't have negative effects, ReBoot is not an effective final coolant and should be replaced with coolant before any extended use of computer..Drain System. Inspect drained solution for debris or foreign particles. Dispose of drained water. Repeat flush if needed.

  7. Fill system with fresh DI or distilled water and flush thoroughly to remove ReBoot solution checking for foam..Drain system.*.

  8. Fill loop with your choice of coolant and begin water-cooling.

  9. * Reboot needs to be flushed from the system until no foam is seen and water runs clear

PrimoPrep

Primochill PrimoPrep™ was developed to address some of the most common issues that plague fluids. The mixes of metals in water cooling, from nickel plating to raw cooper has always made advanced coolants unreliable and harder to use.

The pre-treatment helps control the fluctuation of the PH levels in your system caused by high levels of copper mostly from large capacity radiators.  With this treatment it also prepares the system for use of coolants in a mix metal closed loop environment leaving the guesswork a thing of the past.

IN BETA

This product has been extensively tested for use with PrimoChill Vue.  At this time we only recommend using this product in preparation of your cooling loop for PrimoChill Vue.

Features

  • Water Based
  • Environmentally Responsible, Safe, and Non Toxic Product
  • Concentrate - Just Add to 32oz of DI or distilled water
  • Safe on All Plastics, Rubbers, and Miscellaneous Gasket Materials, Including Acrylic.
  • No special equipment (gloves, goggles) needed

Directions

  1. For this pre-treatment to work correctly and last following the instructions below is VERY IMPORTANT

  2. Install your cooling loop and double-check connections to ensure loop is closed with no leaks.

  3. Mix 2oz PrimoPrep bottle with 32oz of distilled or DI water.  Depending on the size of your system you may need more than one 32oz bottle.  Diluting this mixture will cause the pre-treatment to be less effective.  So please use as directed.

  4. Fill your system entirely full with the treated solution. Add  slowly to avoid spillage and air pockets.

  5. Once filled with the treated solution, turn on the system or your pump and let run for a minimum of 72hrs (3 days).  Running less than 72 hrs will make the treatment less effective.  You may use the pc while this treatment is being circulated, so game on.

  6. After 72 hrs please drain the treated solution and dispose. PrimoPrep can be safely disposed in your kitchen sink and/or any other drain

  7.  Fill you loop backup with di or distilled water and thoroughly flush your system till water till it runs clean. Inspect drained water for debris or foreign particles. Dispose of drained water. Repeat flush if needed.

  8. Fill with your PrimoChill coolant.
