The unglamorous half of hardline. A perfect bend still leaks if the end is cut at 88 degrees instead of 90, and a burr you cannot see will shave an o-ring the first time you seat a fitting.
Take your length from where the tube actually bottoms out inside the fitting, not from the face of the port. Add the insertion depth at both ends.
Forgetting insertion depth is the single most common cause of a run that is 8 mm short and unusable.
