Liquid Utopia ships in a single finish, clear · adds no colour. There is no colour range to choose from, which is the point: nothing in the bottle exists to be looked at.
What it is protecting against
A modern loop is rarely one metal, copper cold plates, nickel plating, brass fittings. Two dissimilar metals in the same fluid make a battery, and material leaves the less noble surface to feed the reaction. Liquid Utopia plates a molecular barrier onto exposed metal that interrupts that circuit.
The dose is coverage, not strength
15 ml per gallon is the figure that covers the wetted surface. Under-dose and you get partial film, worse than none, because the uncovered spots become concentrated anodic hot spots. You have not reduced the corrosion, you have focused it. Over-dosing buys nothing and oversaturates the package.
Water only, nothing else
Never add Liquid Utopia to a pre-mixed coolant. Vue, Ice, Pure and the Opaque Pre-Mix already carry complete inhibitor packages. And skip silver kill coils; running one alongside a modern inhibitor package changes the chemistry in ways neither was formulated for.
Fill slowly, bleed for 24 hours with the pump running and the system off. Check every fitting twice, a paper towel under each joint tells you more than a pressure gauge.
Liquid Utopia is good for about 12 months running in a loop, sooner if you notice temperatures drifting upward with no other obvious cause, which is the practical sign it is time for a change regardless of the calendar. Unopened, it is good for 2 years from purchase. A couple of ounces of DI water to top up is fine. Past that, top up with more Liquid Utopia mixed to ratio, because every ounce of water replaces an ounce of coolant.
